When selling your device you will want to make sure you are selecting the correct model so you can get an accurate price from the buyers/recyclers. But with so many models available it is easy to forgot what model you have.
How to identify your iPhone
To identify which Apple iPhone model you have please follow the steps below
1. Go to Settings > General > About
2. Look at the Model Name
For most people the Model Name will be enough to identify which iPhone model you. If this is not displayed you may wish to use the Model number. Apple device model numbers normally start A but you may see that the Model number starts with M or N. If you tap on the Model Number beginning with M or Nit will reveal the Apple Model number beginning with A.
With the A model number you can look up the device on Apple’s Support page. This will help you find the name of your iPhone since older devices do not show model name.
If You Are Unbale To Power On The Device.
If you are unable access your setting because you can not turn on your device, the model number is found on the rear of the device in very small text. This will be the Apple model number beginning with an A. Once you have this model number you can search for it on the Apple Support page to get more information and identify which model it is.
For newer iPhones the Model Number will be printed inside the sim tray.
